Welcome to Little Hoppin' Lions Rabbitry
Home of the Lionhead Rabbit
All the bunnies in our rabbitry are kept with love and care. Each bunny is considered a pet and we do our best to keep them healthy and happy. Our rabbitry is small and it allows us to give everyone of our rabbits the attention they need.
Hello everyone, welcome to Little Hoppin' Lions Rabbitry. Little Hoppin' Lions Rabbitry is owned and operated by my sister and I. We are located in Garrett, Indiana. Little Hoppin' Lions Rabbitry is a small rabbitry dedicated to producing Lionhead Rabbits as close to the standard as possible. I myself have been raising rabbits for 15 years. I have had a few different breeds including: Standard Rex, Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarfs, Dutch, and Mini Lop. I bought my first Lionhead 8 years ago, Tizzi, and she just stole my heart. For the Lionheads we are focusing on the following colors (but do have other colors occasionally): Chocolate, Chocolate Tort. We learn something new about these amazing rabbits everyday. All of our rabbits come from show quality, and pedigreed breeding stock.

The Bunny that started it all.
In the Summer of 2000 my parents took me to get my very first rabbit when I was ten years old. I was so excited.
I remember looking at all the bunnies this guy had for sale. I had noticed this little bunny that kept coming up to the front of the cage every time I walked by.
So I told my parents that I wanted her. She had no pedigree and I didn't even know what breed she was (or that she was even a she lol)
After I got her I joined 4H and there I found out she was a Netherland Dwarf. My first year in 4H I got Champion Pet with her.
Then I bred her for the first time. It was so exciting to find a nest full of babies!
And from there I just got more and more bunnies, and now I am where I am because of her.
Missy finally had to be put to sleep at the ripe old age of 11. I was very upset and heartbroken to have to make that decision but I knew it was time.
I'm so thankful for the 11 years I had with her. She will be forever missed. There will never be another one like her.
Rest In Peace Missy <3
